The EU Green Deal and the Covid-19 pandemic are putting the textiles industry at a crossroad. We need to decide on a new business model – embracing sustainability and circularity, creating transparency in our supply chain, promote innovation, establish common rules and standards across the globe and develop new green and digital skills. This keynote presentation will focus on the new EU Textiles Strategy, to be announced by the European Commission by the end of 2021, as well as how the new EU Industrial Strategy offers great opportunities to shape that new framework.
